Iris J. Herssein
Iris J. Herssein is a founding member of Herssein and Herssein. While working at one of the largest insurance defense firms in Florida, Iris gained extensive litigation experience in complex cases involving general liability, medical malpractice, and employment issues. She tried cases from a plaintiff’s perspective during her tenure at a North Miami plaintiff’s personal injury firm, and she has represented health care professionals, hospitals, and mental health facilities in both federal and state investigations.
An honors graduate from University of Miami School of Law, Iris Herssein interned at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Miami. She is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and is a member of both the Trial Lawyer’s Section of the Florida Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Iris Herssein is fluent in Hebrew and proficient in Spanish. She has written numerous articles and presentations for Claims Management Seminars for both a state-wide and national audience, and has served as a Certified Instructor for the Florida Department of Insurance’s Bureau of Agent & Agency Licensing.
Iris is married to Reuven Herssein and together they have 3 children. In her spare time, she is active in various Miami religious organizations.
